Dr. Norman Yee
Family Physician
Born and raised Calgarian, I grew up in Bowness. I attended McGill University receiving a BSc (biochem) before returning home for medical school. My professional career spans many interests including teaching, health IT, and health system futurism. I have been on council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, and I continue peer mentoring for continuing competence programs.
I am married and extremely proud of my two kids. I love the outdoors, cycling, and cooking (gadgets, Japanese knives, eclectic recipes). I also enjoy learning, whether it is philosophy, world history, astrophysical phenomena, or any wonders of nature; even better when travel is involved.
Dr. Alan Elms
Family Physician
Decided to become a physician in elementary school and ultimately graduated with B.Sc in Biological Sciences in 2011 before doing medical school from 2011-2015 as well as residency from 2015-2017 at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. After completion of residency moved to Calgary to work in general practice.
I strive for quality preventative care and working with patients on their health needs while focusing on their personal goals and values. I'm a proud dad of a new baby girl. In my spare time I enjoy ice hockey, golfing, drumming, walking my two dogs, getting out to the mountains, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Carmen Fong
Family Physician
I was born and raised in Edmonton, and attended the University of Alberta for my undergraduate degree. I then completed medical school and a family medicine residency both through the University of Calgary, with additional training in low risk obstetrics.
I worked for three years in Calgary, then two years in Toronto, before relocating back to Calgary in 2019 to finally start my own practice. In addition, I provide obstetrical care at Foothills Medical Centre with the Northwest Maternity Group.
I also have an interest in women’s health and contraception, providing services including IUD and Nexplanon insertions as well as endometrial biopsies. Outside of work, I am a mother and wife, and enjoy hiking, running, skiing and travelling.
Dr. Deborah Sung
Family Physician
After collecting a whole bunch of funny letters after my name (BSc, MSc, MD), I decided to polish off my collection specializing in family medicine (CCFP, FCFP). When I’m doctoring, I am either busy in my general family medicine practice with occasional clinical teaching or assisting in general surgeries. When I’m not doctoring, I’m spending time with my family & friends, playing ice hockey, travelling, reading and general mischief making.
Dr. Ramninder Dhillon
Family Physician
I have been lucky enough to be a practicing family physician in Calgary for 10 years. After completing medical school at the University of Saskatchewan, I moved to this beautiful city with my husband for my residency at the University of Calgary. Now, I stay busy caring for my two beautiful boys and an incredibly fulfilling medical practice. I also have a special interest in care of the elderly and spend time looking after residents in long term care. Outside of my work (which I Iove!), I spend my time running, reading, camping with my family, and trying to keep up with my boys on their bikes!
Dr. Rene Ho
Family Physician
I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. After completing medical school at the University of Alberta, I did my family medicine residency training at the University of Calgary. Since finishing residency in 2014, I have worked in various community clinics in Calgary. Other than providing comprehensive care to all ages, I have an interest in medical education and care of the elderly. I also work at long term care and supportive living facilities in Calgary. What I love the most about family medicine is being able to get to know patients and families personally, and watch them grow throughout the years.
In my free time, I like to bike, bake, travel, and spend time with my 2 little boys.
Dr. Emma Gibbons
Family Physician
I have a range of clinical experiences in rural and urban settings. I finished my residency training in Edmonton but I am excited to be back in Calgary closer to my family where I completed medical school. I am dedicated to providing patient-centered, trauma– informed and gender affirming care to patients in English or French. Some of my special interests include harm reduction, sexual health, addictions and LGBTQ+ care.
When I am not at work you can find me in the mountains, on my bike or thrift shopping!
